Jonathan W. Barr is an Associate with Lytle Soulé & Felty. He is a litigation attorney who practices both civil and criminal law. Mr. Barr’s civil practice is focused on general and complex litigation with an emphasis on personal injury, negligence claims, consumer law, professional liability, insurance defense, business disputes, and contract disputes. His criminal practice is focused on representing criminal defendants in state and municipal court, including the representation of clients in an administrative setting whose conduct is potentially criminal in nature (i.e. Title IX, Student Conduct, state agencies, employee/employer disputes, etc.).
Mr. Barr’s prior experience includes representing Oklahoma hospitals and doctors, in civil and administrative matters. He has represented clients in complex civil litigation, specifically medical malpractice, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, hospital negligence, premise liability, and professional liability. Mr. Barr has also represented police officers and labor unions throughout Oklahoma in use-of-force investigations, internal investigations, and labor disputes (including negotiating Collective Bargaining Agreements). Mr. Barr has successfully represented targets of criminal investigations conducted by local police departments, The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) resulting in criminal clearances for his clients or resolution of charges through plea negotiations.
